What Is You're Favorite Beatles Album And Why

Postby fendertele on Thu Oct 04, 2007 11:05 am

What is everyones favorite album, mine has to be MMT i obviously love every other album of theres but the quality of the tracks on this album steals it for me, it probably has most of the well known Beatles tracks on it from SFF, Penny Lane, I am the walrus.......... and it also has a great instrumental in Flying and a great Harrison track Blue jay Way to boot.

I really like the White Album, there are a lot of tracks and most of them are very interesting.

Its a tie between Sgt P and Beatles For Sale but I'll go for B4S. It has all those nice Rock n Roll-like songs and their voices sound so young there. And besides, it contains Rock N Roll music which simply does it for me! And it has lots of screamy John wihch I like 8)

My favorite Beatle , and also my favourite album ever is Sgt Pepper and its proberly the reason im writing this now .
In the smokey mists of time in the early 70s , oh wait `i`ll go back to when i was 5 years old my parents had bought a record player and i had a thing about the record labels, as my mother use to tell me a song and even though i could`nt read i could pic out a record by the label , this the story my mother would tell me and visitors to our house for an excuse in why i had long hair and listened to a hell of rock music .
So unconciously i was listening to the Beatles as everybody was in the 60s was.
Anyway long story short i became a WiNGS fan after hearing Helen Wheels at a fair, and soon found out a record i had given me Hey Jude when i was 8 was indeed the Beatles and my new found band lead singer was a Beatle at xmas i had a tape recorder and i bought a tape of1962 1966 album and i was blown away .
So i went out and bought a Beatle album , why i picked Sgt Pepper i dont know [ or remember] i guessing the cover , and when i put it on that was it i was in another place , it was like Alice in Beatle land it was pictures , colours and storys and sitars orchestra and a cherry on top with A Day In A Life .
I`ve listened to hundreds of albums since and been blown away , but there will never be an experience like the first time i played that album .
A Splendid time is guaranteed for all :)

My two fave Beatles albums are Revolver & Rubber soul because they represent the beginning of a radical change in their music. Altought there were hints in previous albums already.

Their music and arrangements were becoming more complicated.

Always a sticky question because I have a sentimental favorite, 'Sgt. Pepper's...', because of great memories associated with that time and those tunes.

I consider their best work to be 'Rubber Soul' (with 'Revolver' tugging in quite closely).

:)

Rubber Soul is my favorite and also Revolver. Those two albums have a lot of positive songs and they are all about love too. The music is so awesome on there it makes me want to dance, even though I do not dance in real life.

... I think mine is actually Help!...
I don't really have any logical explanation besides the fact that I love it so much... there isn't one song on it that I don't like, and most of the songs on it I like very much indeed! Plus, it brings back memories: because it was one of the first Beatles albums we had, it reminds me of the time when Honey and I just started discovering the Beatles... how fun and exciting that was :) I remember listening to Help! for the first time (in the car on a family trip) and liking almost every song from first listen! :) Especially Ticket to Ride (and Yesterday of course)... and I found Act Naturally really sweet - funny and sad at the same time. And then I remember trying to figure out who sings what
And of course, the album reminds me of the movie, which I really love.

Excuse the nostalgia, everyone... *bitofasentimentalistreally*

So yeah, Help gets my vote.... although I love Rubber Soul too! :)
Would you believe me if I told you I was being followed by a Yellow Submarine?

I'll have to go with this one! As I am very fond of Pepper's as well, I feel this is the "breakthrough" record for them, going into new directions and territories, as was Rubber Soul, but this is when they would get a bit "scary" at what they did.

Tomorrow Never Knows, Love You To, Taxman,She Said She Said,And Your Bird Can Sing...just awesome!
I've got a hole in me pocket.
